Joinery-Manufacture

Huxt’s in-house manufacturing facility combines the quality of highly skilled tradesmen with computerised manufacturing machinery, allowing us to produce extremely accurate, well-finished joinery products. The workshop works closely with the CAD office to design bespoke and production run items, giving us the capability to produce high quality products for both the Commercial Industry and the Leisure and Retail sector.

Our woodshop is home to dimension saws, spindle moulders, overhead routers, edge banders, multi-headed spindle drills, and large-bed planer and thicknessers. Alongside these sit our CNC Beam Saw for panel sizing, as well as a state-of-the-art Anderson large-bed CNC Router with C-Axis, which is driven by our CAD-CAM 3rd generation software – Microvellum. In simple terms; this technology allows us to produce a plethora of cuts and shapes with speed and accuracy to the millimetre.

Once an item or a batch of items have been cut and formed they can be finished in our own spraybooth by finishers with years of experience. We can offer spray finishes to any joinery item from matt to high gloss and in any colour required – colour matching to a clients sample is something we regularly do. In addition to a more modern finish we can also carry out traditional French polishing  and lacquer techniques which will enhance the grain of the wood.

Having our own manufacturing and finishing facility means that we can quickly respond to any design changes whilst maintaining complete quality control. Whether you want something on a straight-formward production run or something a little bit different please ask!
